Anjanette Comer (Mrs. Weber) was born and reared in a small town in Texas. She came to California to attend the Pasadena Playhouse where she acted in plays continuously. She also trained with Paul Conrad of the Neighborhood Playhouse and worked with Stella Adler and the Actors Studio. She came into the film business at the end of the studio contract system and played lead roles on six primetime series, which earned her an Emmy nomination. She played the female lead in Tony Richardson’s film of Evelyn Waugh’s The Loved One and appeared opposite Marlon Brando in The Appaloosa. Other notable film credits include Lepke with Tony Curtis, Banning with Robert Wagner, Guns for San Sebastian with Anthony Quinn, In Enemy Country with Tony Franciosa, and Steven Soderbergh’s The Underneath. She starred with James Garner in The Long Summer of George Adams for television and has appeared in numerous other TV movies and guest starring roles on series.
