Kaiulani Lee (Mrs. Blair) is a veteran actor with more than thirty years of experience in theatre, film and television. She is the writer of the play, Sense of Wonder which has been presented at more than 100 universities and colleges and has been the centerpiece for numerous national and international conferences on education, the environment and journalism, including the Department of Interior’s 150th Anniversary celebration, the Albert Schweitzer Conference at the United Nations and the Sierra Club’s Centennial. On May 9, 2007 she presented the play on Capitol Hill as part of a year long celebration of Miss Carson’s 100th birthday and in September she, the play and Miss Carson were featured on Bill Moyer’s Journal on PBS. Lee has starred on and off-Broadway in more than a dozen plays and has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award and won an Obie Award for her work. In addition she has worked regionally where her favorite roles include Anna Christie and A Moon for the Misbegotten. Ms. Lee has guest starred on numerous television series and in several Movies of the Week from The Waltons, Chiefs, Vestige of Honor to Law & Order. Her film work began with The World According to Garp and has continued through Cujo, Compromising Positions, Before & After, Hush, Stephanie Daley and Civil Action. She portrayed Martha Ballard in the critically-acclaimed PBS film A Midwife’s Tale. Ms. Lee is the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Bowdoin College for her contribution to and excellence in the arts.
